Happy St. Patrick's Day weekend!! Our friends have a party every year and I'm so excited that it's nice out today for it. I even bought this sweater to be festive ☘️
I was about to brainstorm ideas for today's Girl Talk topic but then I realized, I really should just talk about what's on all of our minds: WHERE IS KATE MIDDLETON?!
Truthfully, I wasn't concerned at all until last weekend. I was content to believe that she's laying low after surgery and just doesn't want to be seen. We should respect her privacy!
And then they released this photo... and everything changed.
In case you’re not chronically online like I am, here’s a quick explanation for ya. On the surface, that just looks like a lovely photo of Kate and her children. But shortly after it was widely distributed, several international news agencies issued a "kill notification" on the image due to the fact that it was manipulated and did not meet their photo standards.
That's pretty strange on it's own, but then they posted an Instagram story with an apology from Kate. "Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing." I'm sorry, WHAT?! Can anyone imagine the Princess tinkering around on Photoshop? And what about Queen Elizabeth's "never complain, never explain" motto?
Needless to say, whoever is handling their PR is majorly fumbling. And as a result, it's hard not to wonder if something more serious is going on.
The rational part of me thinks that my initial theory is correct - she's recovering from surgery, maybe there have been some health complications, and she just doesn't want to be seen until she's feeling better.
But there's another small part of me that is eating up all of the conspiracy theories out there. I mean, this royal family doesn't have the best track record! They have some experience with scandals and affairs and cover ups. It's why I never blamed Harry for wanting to separate himself from all of it.
Sooo if you want to go down the rabbit hole with me, Pop Apologists have a 19 part series on Instagram - or you could listen to this podcast episode. Some theories are absolutely insane... but others are kind of believable. What do you think is true?!
