Happy weekend! I’ve been really enjoying this format, so I’m going to stick with it for a bit - until I have another long personal essay I feel compelled to share with you ;) Let’s dive in!
What I’m Reading: I finished Just For The Summer by Abby Jimenez and loved it SO MUCH. I still need to get a full review up on Instagram (coming soon!) but in the meantime, just know that this was a 5 star read for me.
It not only solidified Abby as my favorite romance author right now, but it also made me want to re-read Part Of Your World and Yours Truly! These 3 books technically aren’t a series but they do have some overlapping characters which is really fun to piece together throughout the books. I highly recommend all 3!
What I Can’t Get Enough Of: I usually struggle with casual active shorts, but this pair from Abercrombie is so comfortable, they have built in bike shorts underneath, and they’re 25% off this weekend!
In fact, all YPB is 25% off which makes it a great time to get this active dress (I also love this new floral print!) or anything else from that collection. Shop the reel above.
What I’m Eating: I met a friend as Summer House yesterday and got their Costa Mesa Salad with a side of fries and an iced tea. Oooooh baby, I forgot just how ELITE that lunch is! Literally perfection.
What I’m Watching: We are huge Top Chef fans but this season was a little lackluster for us. Even the finale didn’t feel as exciting as it has in year’s past. That being said, I think Kristen is an excellent host and I’m already hopeful for the next season!
We also watched Hit Man on Netflix and… I’m still not sure what I thought about it. It was an interesting concept but it took a while for the plot to really take off, and then it got DARK! Overall, not my favorite.
What’s In My Cart: I’m considering getting an extra pair of Freedom Moses sandals since they’re on major sale! I got my first pair a few years ago after my friend recommended them and they’re SO nice for beach or pool days because they’re totally waterproof. And they’re cute too!
Weekend Links:
My friend Jenn launched a new collection with Sail To Sable this week! She generously sent me this dress ahead of the launch and it’s SO beautiful. I love that you could dress it down for casual wear or dress it up for a special occasion. Love love love.
Our favorite blankets NEVER go on sale - and they are currently running 15% off right now! We have 2 of the originals but we just got a lightweight one last week and it’s perfect for summer. We’ve been snuggling with it in the AC, but it would also be great for a picnic or chilly summer nights.
I know The Tony Awards feel like a long time ago now but if you haven’t watched Jonathan Groff’s speech, please do!
Also, Daniel Radcliffe won his first Tony, too! If you know me, you know that my love for Daniel runs DEEP.
Hill House is having a summer sale! My top suggestions are the Grace Mini, the Matilda Dress, and of course the classic Ellie.
As women’s reproductive rights continue to be attacked, where are the men who claim to be “protectors”? I know I’m not the only woman who is extremely worried about the future of contraception, IVF, pregnancy and miscarriage care, abortion rights… but aren’t men concerned too?
This dress looks like a regular shift dress but it’s a sweat wicking material with built in shorts. Obsessed.
Did you hear about the new Simone Biles documentary? I will absolutely be watching.
I was gifted a few Sarah Flint shoes years ago and while they are really beautiful quality, they are EXPENSIVE. Which is why I was SO excited to see a BIG sale on a few styles! These nude pumps are classics, but I also like this block heel version. And if you prefer a smaller heel that’s both classic and walkable, I love these in nude and gold.
These healthier churro bites look so good! I’ll let you know if I try them out!
I’ve been desperately needing new cutting boards so I finally got this one by Material Kitchen and they’re on SALE! I especially love that they’re BPA-free and made with renewable sugarcane.
I really appreciated this piece about Principle Over Party by Sharon McMahon. She also has a whole deep dive about Project 2025 if you’ve been wanting to learn more about that (extremely problematic) platform.
If you’re in the market for a new swimsuit this summer, SummerSalt is offering 30% off sitewide right now! So many of my friends are DIE HARD fans of them - and their styles are really family-friendly.
100% agree on Hit man - I only watching about 1/3 and then stopped watching. It was boring!
